AirCAM
AirCAM. Airborne Daylight UV Corona Camera
The corona camera AirCAM is a development of the daylight CoroCAM in a reinforced casing allowing mounting into a gimbal or other holder for airborne applications. It has remote control, enabling both its operation and the data recording, from the aircraft cockpit.
Features of the corona camera AirCAM
- Double camera use
- - Gimbal fitting for helicopter line inspections
- - For hand-held use or vehicle mounting conducting line inspections from the ground using a LCD fitted on top of the camera to view the images.
- The corona camera Aircam operates in all daylight conditions, including full sunlight.
- Event counting mode, i.e. counting the number of photos released by the corona source, x events/second. This is done over the whole image area.
- A video output allows recording of results on-site and produces a video image of the corona combined with the background.
- Automatic iris control for changing light conditions, i.e. the camera sets itself according to cloud conditions (minimum 4 Lux).
- Can be switched between the "as seen" daylight image and the corona image alone, to assist in detecting smaller and distant discharges.
- The corona camera Aircam is quick to set up, with motorised focus control.
